  1. I agree that we should be aware of not only our studentsʻ IEP goals but also their behavior goals as well. In the past these goals have always helped me make more appropriate, student centered interpreting decisions.

  2. I like the goal of "fading out" in many cases I feel like that is a great measure of success and independence. In some cases, be it multiple disabilities, a self-defeating mindset, or otherwise it takes more time and effort to cultivate these goals for independence. I also like the "active part" in IEPs but what about those cases where the Care Coordinator/TOD does not see eye to eye with you? At what point do you need to consider if your not-interpeting duties are getting you into more trouble than its worth?
